Is my operation big enough to worry about corrosion control?

Corrosion is a roughly $4,000,000,000,000/year problem worldwide. That number is an aggregate from all sectors, from homeowners, small businesses, cities and towns, up to national and multinational corporations. If you are experiencing premature failure of your assets, corrosion control solutions are appropriate for you.

How much is this going to cost?

Many consults will take less than a week of time to find a pragmatic solution for you. For larger and more involved projects, we’re happy to provide a bid or proposal to meet your procurement needs. For smaller jobs, especially for Denver local small businesses and breweries, we can provide special rates.

What are your qualifications?

What about _______?

As engineers, we love finding solutions to new problems - our experience allows us to develop solutions that aren’t endemic to our service area. We strive to find novel solutions when warranted in a competent and innovative way.

Will you come do a periodic survey?

Annual and period survey work are great - but not part of our business, except as part of longer troubleshoot and monitoring programs. We’re happy to recommend experienced and qualified service providers in your area to perform your annual external corrosion surveillance needs.

Can you provide expert witness services?

As a registered Professional Engineer and NACE Corrosion and Cathodic Protection Specialist, Tom is available for expert witness services regarding corrosion management, corrosion failures, metallurgy, and material selection.

AC Corrosion, on my pipes?

If you suspect an alternating current (AC) corrosion issue, or other types of AC interference, your first order of business is to isolate any contact of employees or the public with anything electrically continuous with your pipe - valves, risers, test stations, etc. Then you need to consult an experienced and qualified corrosion specialist to assess the risks and potential hazards, and develop mitigation steps to make your equipment safe for operators and the public.
